Telemegaphones are tall loudspeaker sculptures that automatically answers incoming phone calls and projects the sound of the caller's voice into its immediate surroundings.
Telemegaphone Dale stands seven metres tall on top of the Bergskletten mountain overlooking the idyllic Dalsfjord in Western Norway. When you dial the Telemegaphone’s phone number ( 0047 90 369389 ) the sound of your voice is projected out across the fjord, the valley and the village of Dale below.

RGBY Desk erfasst die Farben von Objekten, die auf ihm abgelegt werden und leuchtet dann in denselben Farben.
Das Demo Video zeigt den Tisch in Aktion. Ich mag vor allem den Effekt, wenn Getränke in ein Glas eingeschenkt werden. Das wäre ein sehr nettes Spielzeug für Bars.

Obwohl Structure Synth derzeit noch eine Alpha ist, macht es schon einen sehr überzeugenden Eindruck. Laut Blog wird es in der nächsten Version auch POV-Ray support geben. Zum Ausprobieren habe ich mal Syntopias Binary Kite gerendert...

Ein Nichtnewtonsches Fluid ist eine Flüssigkeit, welche bei Krafteinwirkung keine konstante Viskosität aufweist. Also z.B. bei hohen Scherkräften eine höhere Viskosität besitzt. Diese Eigenschaft wird Dilatanz genannt.
Wenn man nun Wasser und Stärke im Verhältnis 1:1,33 mischt bekommt man solch eine scherverdickende Flüssigkeit. Versetzt man diese noch in Schwingung, dann gibt das nette Effekte. Mehr Videos dazu gibts bei Everyone Forever: Non-Newtonian fluids

Eine Tech Preview von Microsofts Photosynth ist online. Photosynth verbindet Fotos über ähnliche Bildpunkte miteinander und berechnet durch die Kamerdaten ein 3D Modell des fotografierten Ortes oder Objektes. Die Tech Preview funktioniert natürlich nur mit dem Internet Explorer.
Die Idee hinter Photosynth und die Möglichkeiten stellt Blaise Aguera y Arcas auf einer TED Konferenz im März 2007 vor. Aguera y Arcas ist einer der hauptverantwortlichen Programmierer von Photosynth.

Die Demo ist 177kb groß... einfach nur unglaublich wieviel intelligenter Code darin steckt, um sowas hervorzubringen. fr-041: debris ist von Farbrausch zum download freigegeben. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall die mal auf entsprechender Hardware hochauflösend laufen zu lassen!
