"Equation Bookshelf is a simple idea of to divide things in priority order... put together the books that you need immediately or more important between (parentheses)! Set others between [square brackets] and {braces}." - Estúdio Breder

"This toaster by Sasha Tseng incorporates a little message board where one can read quick notes. The message also gets "toasted" into the toast itself so it gives new meaning to "read while you eat". - Yanko Desing

"The Chrono_Shredder is a device that makes past time tangible. It is a hybrid between calendar, clock and waste producing automaton. It has no on/off-button, thus it is unstoppable, just like time. It features the 365 days of the year represented on a paper-roll. The paper-roll is led through a hacked paper-shredder, which is programmed to use exactly 24 hours to shred one "day"." - Susanna Hertrich

Eine hübsche Idee Geräte im Standbymodus automatisch auszuschalten. Das Design Konzept von Gilles Belley ist aber leider noch eine Studie und nicht erhältlich.
"This adaptor displays useless energy consumption due to standby mode and automatically turns off office equipment that are left on unnecessarily."

Tape is dead! Aber was das Design angeht immer noch ein Rückblick wert. Dass Kassetten außer Nostalgie auch einen gewissen ästhetischen Wert besitzen, beweisen z.B. die cassette walletts im Designboom Shop.
"Tapedeck.org is a project of neckcns.com, built to showcase the amazing beauty and (sometimes) weirdness found in the designs of the common audio tape cassette. There s an amazing range of designs, starting from the early 60 s functional cassette designs, moving through the colourful playfulness of the 70 s audio tapes to amazing shape variations during the 80 s and 90 s. We hope you enjoy these tapes as much as we do!"
